Cheers to Life!

I flew in last week and photographed Reuben & Erica's wedding in Hawkes Bay - how would I describe them... in love and in total adoration for one another. Tears of family and friends in love and support for them flowed freely right throughout the day. It was precious, and beautiful.
Victor & Vanessa, I can't wait to see you both again and capture your precious moments in Wellington next weekend, I love the zest you both have for life. What a party it is going to be! If we go by the laughs we had at your Sunrise engagement shoot at the beach (with the surprised morning fishermen), I'm sure we are going to have a fun and cheeky time.
It was a bit of a shock to the system coming back from snow in Colorado to sunshine, jandals, and green green green all around me in NZ. I love NZ. New Zealand, you are amazing.
A combination of watching Singin' in the Rain with my fun & creative sister, either going on long runs or boxing training everyday, listening to Orchestral Classical music while I work on client's weddings, Skyping with my close friend Ruthee, and of course being back in beautiful New Zealand catching up with good friends, has given me a new boost and zest in life!
Today it has been a new day, choosing to look at everyday with a new perspective and a new eye of appreciation is very much like working on each wedding. You must look at each new celebration like its your first wedding. To appreciate the couple for who they are, their love for one another, their unique relationship and the way they share love for one another, and sharing their commitment publicly in front of those they love. Its an amazing privilege to be part of someone's story and I LOVE IT.
In the light of this blog and celebrating life, I thought to share a few shots from a special wedding today photographed in Christchurch, New Zealand: a couple in their moment of affection and laughter, and the happy couple toasting their friends and family in celebration of life and love.
If we look around each day, each moment, there is always something to toast about. Life is to be enjoyed and not endured, so make sure you let someone know today you want to toast them for sharing life with you, and if it is love... make sure they know you feel that way about them :)
Enjoy, and I look forward to sharing more adventures from the States with you all soon!
